Assessing the individual and designing a plan.
Why Leap Physio?
Your health shapes everything. How you move, how you feel, and what you are able to show up for each day. At Leap Physio we are proud of the way we meet people where they are at. Every patient is treated as an individual, with a structured plan built around their body and their goals from the very first appointment. No one leaves without a clear picture of where they are headed. We find the cause, build the plan, and see it through.

The bigger picture.
Movement is what connects us to the life we want to live. It is the early morning run, the weekend hike, the game of sport with friends, the climb that takes your breath away. When your body moves well, the world opens up. At Leap Physio, that is the bigger picture behind everything we do. Helping you get back to the moments that matter, and building a body that keeps showing up for them.
Longevity
Maintaining muscle strength into later life is strongly associated with reduced risk of chronic disease, improved independence, and a longer, more active lifespan.
Osteoarthritis
Research consistently shows that structured strength training reduces pain and improves function in knee osteoarthritis, making it one of the most effective long-term interventions available.
Wellbeing
The evidence is clear that regular exercise is one of the most powerful tools for improving mood, reducing anxiety, and supporting long-term mental health.
Jarryd Edgar
Sports and musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Founder
After two years working with various sporting athletes including rugby, soccer, and Australian rules football players in Sydney, Jarryd came home to Perth and opened Leap Physio. The vision is a clinic built around long term health, not just short term fixes. Jarryd is passionate about fitness and longevity, and holds a strong conviction that everyone should be doing some form of resistance training to protect and improve their quality of life as they age.
Away from the clinic, Jarryd is at his best when he has a hard goal to work toward. He trains in the gym, runs, swims, and plays tennis at Cottesloe Tennis Club — and it is that personal relationship with discipline, goal setting, and physical challenge that shapes the way he approaches every patient’s care.
